Online survey of parents’ beliefs and practices in nurturing creativity and talent development

Dear Parent,

You are invited to participate in a survey entitled “Online survey of parents’ beliefs and practices in nurturing creativity and talent development.” The aim of the survey is to understand parents’ beliefs and practices on how your children’s creativity is nurtured and how their talents are developed. The information collected will help us in effective planning for future programmes in creativity and talent development for primary and secondary school students.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete, and will not cause any stress or anxiety. Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw from the survey at any time without negative consequences. Participants will not be required to provide their names on the survey. To protect confidentiality, codes will be used instead of names in all information collected. Coded information will be encrypted and stored in a computer at the researcher’s office at the University of Hong Kong. All data will be erased one year after the completion of the research. Information obtained will be used for research purposes only and will remain strictly confidential.
