Building Young Children’s Positive Behaviours
Parents and Teachers Training Programme

Students’ behavioural, social or emotional difficulties are often the hindrance to learning and the core of conflict within a family. Through intensive training and hands-on practices to train parents and professionals, we have very successful experiences in the past four years. ALL parents and children who have joined the programme have a different degree of speedy progress. Through this 6-week intensive training programme, by adopting the train-the-trainer and spiral approaches, parents and kindergarten teachers will be able to:
- Understand and analyse young children’s functional behaviour and causes of their social-emotional difficulties
- Use principles from Applied Behavioural Analysis and visual approaches to build up young children’s positive compliant behaviours and eliminate negative behaviours
- Develop children’s essential social, communication, and emotional skills through games
- Set appropriate targets to train their children
- apply the knowledge and skills in supporting and motivating young children’s academic learning
- generalize the skills learnt in the home environment
- involve and train other family members in the training
Teaching Mode
✅ Theory ✅ Demonstration ✅ Authentic case study video
Teaching Characteristics
(1) 1 on 1 practice with mentor in class
(2) Conduct home training after acquiring skills in every class and take video of the home training for mentor’s review.
(3) The mentor will give feedback to participant whether they have done it right. The mentor will also practise 1 on 1 again in next lesson and strengthen the skills.
(4) Participants will revise the skills in each lesson and at the same time acquire new knowledge. Practice makes perfect. This is why participants can make changes in 6 weeks.
